SOFA (discontinued) is an app created back in the late nineties assisting audiovisual professionals in their planning of shows with projection. The tool handles screen size, distance and focal length based on a selected format for slides or video projector chip sizes. The tool is also useful for calculating object sizes for cameras as a function of camera chip and focal length.
Later versions of the app also featured early stages of the ShowCalibrator tool as seen in the Watchout label:
